Founded in 1992, The Anaerobe Society of the Americas is an
international organization, promoting the study and application of knowledge of anaerobic
bacteriology. The primary activity of the society is organizing the biennial Anaerobe
Congress for researchers, clinicians, and laboratory scientists from around the world
to engage in presentations, exchanges, and dialogues related to anaerobes.
Membership, offered in Doctorate, Non-Doctorate, Retired, and Student
categories, includes a discounted

ANAEROBE 2020 CONGRESS
Going Virtual!! -- July 23-24, 2020
Registration is now OPEN!!
Due to the coronavirus,the ANAEROBE 2020 Congress is being converted from a live event to a virtual meeting on July 23-24, 2020. The program, being confirmed, will consist of a full day of anaerobic topics on Thursday and a focus on C. difficile for a half day on Friday. Registration is now OPEN, and program will be posted, once finalized.
In addition, we will be:
- Publishing a digital Abstract Book of submitted abstracts.
- Inviting selected papers for a special issue of the Anaerobe journal.
Details on these activities are being developed and will be disseminated shortly.
Hopefully, the current crisis will be resolved, and we can come together for ANAEROBE 2022, in July 2022.
