The International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC) is a federation of affiliated Member Societies which aims to increase the knowledge of antimicrobial chemotherapy and combat antibiotic resistance around the world.

ISAC is deeply aware and appreciative of the massive efforts currently being undertaken by our Member Societies and global colleagues in fighting the SARS CoV-2 / COVID-19 pandemic.

Creating sustainable meta-competence in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and control of antimicrobial resistance in order to improve global health.

ISAC encourages National and Regional Professional Societies active in antimicrobial chemotherapy, clinical microbiology and infectious diseases to affiliate.

Our 25 Working Groups on specialist subjects are engaged in advancing scientific knowledge in antimicrobial chemotherapy, clinical microbiology and infectious diseases through various activities.

The Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics (APUA) has merged with ISAC.
